This joining reward will be valid only for 1 year after taking the ZED Pledge.

The new and existing Micro, Small and Medium category industries established by general category entrepreneurs in the State shall be reimbursed 50% of the amount spent, maximum Rs. 5 Lakh for obtaining ISO 9000, ISO14000, ISO18000, ISO22000 category, IS certification, ZED certification, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) certification LEBPcertification in the field of new and renewable energy, Euro Standard or other similar national/international certification

32. Quality Certification

With a vision to encourage domestic products to be globally competitive, the policy will promote quality certifications under Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED scheme) and also support to obtain ISI/WHO-GMP/Hallmark certifications & other national/International certification from Quality Council of India. For ZED certification, MSMEs can avail assistance up-to 50% of certification cost maximum up-to INR 50,000 after deducting the assistance received from Government of India.

33. Freight Assistance

The freight assistance to the extent of 1% of Free on Board (FOB) value or actual freight excluding government fee and taxes on transportation of goods from place of manufacture to the seaport/ air cargo/ by road up to international border, whichever is less and maximum up to INR 10 lakh in ‘C’ and ‘D’ category blocks and INR 5 lakh in ‘A’ and ‘B’ category blocks per annum to new exporting micro and small enterprises with turnover less than INR 10 crore and having ZED certification, located anywhere in the State.

34. Assistance in Quality Certification

For ZED Certification for improving brand recognition of MSME and reducing effect on environment: GoI provides assistance @ 80%, 60% and 50% to micro, small and medium units respectively. GoMP will provide assistance up-to 50% of the balance amount (10%,20%,25% of total cost respectively to micro, small and medium units).

35. Additional Incentives for Strengthening MSMEs

The followings incentives shall be admissible to the Expansion Projects of MSMEs so as to promote quality competitiveness, Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED scheme), Research & Development, technology up-gradation, water & energy conservation, cleaner production measures and credit rating: - (i) 5% subsidy only on additional capital equipment acquired for Technology Up-gradation, subject to a maximum of Rs. 25 lakhs. (ii) 75 % subsidy on the expenses incurred on quality certification limited to Rs. 1 Lakh. (iii) 25% subsidy on additional capital equipment acquired for cleaner production measures, limited to Rs. 5 Lakhs. (iv) 75 % subsidy on the expenses incurred on patent registration limited to Rs.10 Lakh for the National patents and Rs. 20 lakhs for the International patents. (v) 75% of cost of water audit limited to Rs. 1.00 Lakh. (vi) 75% of cost of energy audit limited to Rs. 2.00 lakh. (vii) 50% of the cost of Capital Equipment under the measures to conserve/recycle water, limited to Rs. 5 lakhs. The scheme aims to encourage MSMEs to acquire quality standards/certifications for process and product, such as ISO 9000/ISO 14001/ISO 22000/Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)/ Good Hygienic Practices (GHP) / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certifications, BIS Certification, Zero Defect and Zero Effect (ZED) Rating or any other international quality certification recognized in India by a competent authority.
